“Statutory induction is the bridge between initial teacher training and a career in teaching. It combines a personalised programme of development, support and professional dialogue with monitoring and an assessment of performance against the relevant standards” - DfE
As a teaching school, St John Vianney is an Appropriate Body for Statutory Induction and provides support for Newly Qualified Teachers.
Successful completion of an induction programme is a statutory requirement in order for a teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to continue teaching in a maintained school or nursery, a non-maintained special school or Pupil Referral Unit, subject to certain exceptions (as set out in regulations).
To register on our NQT Programme please download and complete the registration form below. It is available as either a PDF or a Word document. Please note we can only accept printed copies of the NQT registration form as we require an original signature. The postal address for returning this form is included at the end of the form.
